Tourism Glossary

1. Reservation: something reserved, esp. hotel accommodation, a seat on an aeroplane, in a theatre, etc.

2. Drinks: liquid suitable for drinking; any beverage

3. Bottle: a vessel, often of glass and typically cylindrical with a narrow neck that can be closed with a cap or cork, for containing liquids.

4. Salad: any dish of cold vegetables or fruit

5. Cheese: the curd of milk separated from the whey and variously prepared as a food

6. Oysters: person who gathers, cultivates, or sells oysters

We found oysters in the ocean. 

7. Steak: any of various cuts of beef of varying quality, used for braising, stewing, etc.


We eat steak at dinner.

8. Restaurant: a commercial establishment where meals are prepared and served to customers


I see a restaurant at Coronado beach.

9. Salmon: a Pacific salmon, Oncorhynchus tschawytscha, valued as a food fish

I eat salmon with rice.

10. dish: the food that is served or contained in a dish


We buy chistmas dish.

11. waitress: a woman who serves at table, as in a restaurant

I am waitress at Hooters.

12. waiter: a man whose occupation is to serve at table, as in a restaurant


He is a handsome waiter.

13. menu: a list of dishes served at a meal or that can be ordered in a restaurant

In this menu, there are many dishes.

14. ice cream: a kind of sweetened frozen liquid, properly made from cream and egg yolks but often made from milk or a custard base, flavoured in various ways

I love cookies ice cream.

15. coffee:a cup from which coffee may be drunk, usually smaller than a teacup

She drinks coffee at morning.

16. tea: a small bag of paper or cloth containing tea leaves, infused in boiling water to make tea

They dink cinnamon tea at night.

17. dessert: the sweet, usually last course of a meal

She eats dessert after the meal.

19. meal:
